Utilities

Utilities are complicated and every city handles them differently. We have a system to navigate them and we rely on you to inform us if you haven’t received a bill. The utility companies don’t always record our requests to set-up billing.

For Seattle Residents:

Water/Sewer/Garbage – Seattle Public Utilities: This bill will remain in the homeowner’s name. The billing cycle is every 2 months with varying cycles. A copy of the bill is sent to you at the house and to us. Your first bill will be pro-rated based on the date your lease started. For your first and possibly second bill depending on the cycle, I will email you with the pro-rate calculations and instruct you to pay your portion direct to SPU. You will then pay each subsequent bill direct with to SPU.

Electric –  Seattle City Light: I fill out the set-up form and send to SCL on your behalf. The start date for service is your lease start date and the bill will be sent to you at the house/unit. The bill is attached to your name and your credit and will be your responsibility to close out at the end of your lease term.

Gas – Puget Sound Energy:  You will need to set up billing. You can either call or visit their website to start service. The service start date should be the same as you lease start date, not your move in date if it is different. Puget Sound Energy  | 1-888-225-5773
